##### A little behind-the-scenes glimpse of what's happening right now

> This is my Now Page. Inspired by Derek Sivers, the idea is simple:
>
> If we bumped into each other and you asked, “So, what are you up to these days?” – this is what I’d tell you.
>
> What I’m doing. What I’m holding. What’s taking up space in my head (and heart) right now.
>
> I’ll be updating it with the seasons. Or whenever life throws me off course and I need to reground.

## 👀 What I’ve been up to
For the last year (ish), me and my sister have been talking about getting a campervan together.
It all started when we were training for the Llangollen Round and had the idea that we would’ve loved to have got back to a van (instead of the car) and been able to just sit and chill and have a cup of tea whilst admiring the view before setting off again.
The more we talked, the more we realised we had the same vision. Both of us had been dreaming about this separately for a *very* long time.
We made a list of must-haves and would-be-nice-to-haves. And looked and looked and looked. But we couldn’t find anything that suited (*felt right*) in our price range.
After a trip away in a camper together (to actually test out whether we’d want to do this more often), literally the next day, a van popped into my inbox.
And it was perfect. Everything we wanted. And more.
We went to see it. Fell in love. And brought Stan (as we named him) home that weekend.
I can’t tell you how excited we are to be able to do the things we dreamed about together. And no doubt I’ll end up writing about our adventures as we go.
(Oh I almost forgot – my Sister has created an Instagram to share our adventures. [You can follow us here](https://www.instagram.com/stan_the_van_vw?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==))

## 🎁 What I’m sharing
[[Untangling Pain Online Course|Untangling Pain]] is an online course for women who want to make sense of their pain – not just manage it.
I’ve made it free because I want this work to reach the women who need it.
So it’s yours. No catch. Just take what you need.
And if it resonates? Share it. With a friend. A client. A sister. Someone who’s been carrying pain quietly for far too long.
The course covers:
- Pain science
- The bio-psycho-social-*spiritual* model
- Why pain is different for women (and why that matters)
- How to calm shit down and build shit up (the practical side)
And if you’re a coach or therapist, you’re more than welcome to join share it with your clients or patients too.

## 📚 What I’m reading
[Tiny Experiments by Anne-Laure Le Cunff.](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tiny-Experiments-Freely-Goal-Obsessed-World/dp/1800819153)
I started it a while back but my reading has been terrible lately (despite wanting to hit 100 books this year). Anyway, I’ve picked it back up and I’m loving it. And it’s making me think. *A lot*.
Chapter 4 talks about “A Deeper Sense of Time” – how we relate to it.
She introduces Chronos vs Kairos. Chronos is clock time. Measured, linear, scheduled. Kairos is experiential time. Flow states. Meaningful moments.
Now, I’ve always been about getting more done. Being more productive, you know? But something’s shifting. Even before reading this chapter, I’d started to feel it. This pull toward presence. Toward noticing. Slowing down.
This idea – that not all time is created equal – I could feel it.
I’ve noticed that I’m not chasing productivity in the same way. I’m noticing more. Slowing down more. Being present.
At my cousin’s wedding on the weekend (which was *amazing* btw) I found myself sat on a table with all my cousins – family I rarely see. And I just... stopped. Mid-laughter. Mid-bantering. And I thought – *this*. This is it. This is what matters.
The next morning, we were sat in a little café, having breakfast with my dad, his partner, and my sister. On the way there, we passed a sign that said “no rush” (it was about the wet floor, but still). It felt like a message from the universe.
No rush.
Time’s going to pass anyway. But when we rush through it? We miss what makes it worth it.

## 🛠 Tools I’m loving right now
Freewriting. As in writing without editing for a set period of time.
Now of course I do freewrite. At least I did by hand (think morning pages as recommended by Julia Cameron). But I didn't find a huge difference from my normal journal writing.
That changed after I watched [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtqMRucUts8&list=PL3NaIVgSlAVLK_QT7tchWsMChEOMRfQ-Y) from Nick Milo. He talks about using a keyboard instead. And that made something click.
He says we can type way faster than we can write by hand. And when we type fast enough, we literally outrun our inner sensor.
You know – that voice in our head that says, “But what about..." before we even finish our first sentence?
But when we type fast enough, that voice can’t keep up.
Apparently, there’s a part of the brain that’s always scanning for mistakes. And another part that’s constantly judging what we say.
But when we want to express our real voice – the messy, alive, unfiltered stuff – we need to turn *those* parts off.
Freewriting does exactly that – if you go fast enough.
I know, it kind of contradicts what I said earlier about slowing down and not rushing. But hey ho! I contain multitudes as the saying goes.
The point is – this is helping me get my ideas out so much more. I usually chuck the whole shitty first draft into ChatGPT after and ask it to tidy it up. Which means I don't need to worry about it being perfect.
Because it’s not really about the writing – it’s about the ideas. The little epiphanies. The sparks that come when you're not trying top be clever. Just trying to see what's really there.

## 🧠 What I’m working on
I’m working through the logistics of offering [[Voxer Coaching]] as a stand-alone option.
Right now, I only offer it to my [[Therapeutic Coaching]] clients between sessions. But I want to make it available on its own.
FYI – Voxer is a free walkie-talkie-style app that lets us send voice notes and text messages back and forth. It’s like WhatsApp. But better for coaching. No pressure to reply instantly. No video calls. No camera face. It’s real-time – but with breathing space.
The plan (at the moment) is a 45-minute session. We’ll connect at our agreed time. You can send voice notes or text messages – whatever feels easiest. I’ll reply every 5–10 minutes or so (depending on the flow).
You’re free to pause, reflect, journal, walk, sort the kids, make a cup of tea – no pressure to be “on” the whole time.
You can also listen to my voice notes at 2x speed if helpful. Use emojis or short texts between longer messages. Leave long voice notes or short bursts. Whatever suits your rhythm.
This is ideal for those of us who:
- struggle to be “on” the whole time
- don’t like Zoom or face-to-face calls
- want flexible support that actually fits into life

## 🤩 What I’m excited for
Summer, baby! (Minus the heatwaves – I’m *shit* with the heat.)
The boys have now broken up for summer which means trips away – including a stay in a private lake house (fire pit, hot tub, SUP, row-boat… *I’m so freakin’ excited*).
And of course, days, nights, and long weekends in Stan.
We’ve never been “long holiday” people. Even when I ask the boys what they prefer, they always say shorter breaks, more often. And honestly? I’m happy with that.
So that’s the plan. Lots of memory-making moments. With 'No Rush' of course.
