# Now: Autumn 2025
##### A little behind-the-scenes glimpse of what's happening right now

> This is my Now Page. Inspired by Derek Sivers, the idea is simple:
>
> If we bumped into each other and you asked, “So, what are you up to these days?” – this is what I’d tell you.
>
> What I’m doing. What I’m holding. What’s taking up space in my head (and heart) right now.
>
> I’ll be updating it with the seasons. Or whenever life throws me off course and I need to reground.

## 🗺️ Where I’ve been
- **The Cotswolds:** quiet mornings, mist on the water, swings, stillness. It was a week at the lake house – paddle boards, dragonflies, hot tub whirlpools, and the kind of rest that actually *rests* you. See photos [here](https://www.instagram.com/p/DQefmWKChmp/?igsh=MnY2b2NuOXFnbG83).
- **Aberystwyth**: exploring the haunted Silver Mountain Experience and learning about witches. The history is wild – equal parts heartbreaking and fascinating. We also got to see the Red Kites feeding which was so frickin’ cool! See photos [here](https://www.instagram.com/p/DQeg4lhigFB/?igsh=aDh0aG43a2xlNzdn).
- **Ullswater Lake in The Lake District:** camping with my sister in *Stan 🚐*. We chased waterfalls and climbed mountains – though the wind kept us off the paddle boards. Soon though. Soon🤞🏻. See photos [here](https://www.instagram.com/p/DQehYxbChN_/?igsh=YTJpbndua3VpcWgw).

## 👀 What I’ve been up to
I’ve been quietly pivoting my website and moving more of *my world* (for those who know what I'm on about) behind the scenes.
I needed to *create it* to understand what I actually wanted to focus on right now.
But I’ve realised – I don’t need to share everything with the world. Some things are allowed to stay private. Sacred. Unfinished.

## 💙 What I’m working on
Getting used to parenting a 12 and 15-year-old.
Life looks different. Again. Just as you think you have a handle on things, it all changes. They both get the bus to school now, which saves me ten hours of driving a week (and a small fortune in petrol).
I love this age – even though it swings wildly between *“you’re the worst”* and *“Mum, can you tuck me in?”*
It’s teaching me to let go – just a little – while still being their anchor.

## 📚 What I’m reading
[Call the Midwife by Jennifer Worth](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Call-Midwife-True-Story-1950s-ebook/dp/B002UP1SX6). Honestly, this wasn’t one I’d have picked up myself. I found it in a book swap and thought, *why not?* (it was the only one that I felt I *might* read).
And honestly? It’s one of the best non-fiction books I’ve read in *ages*.
I was hooked by the stories – raw, funny, heartbreaking. And fascinated by how pregnancy and childbirth have changed (and how much hasn’t).
It’s made me reflect on how we care for women, bodies, and community now.
I’ve started watching the BBC show too – and as always when a book turns into a screen production – you can’t compare. The book and the series are both brilliant in their own way. Highly recommend!

## 📖 What I'm making notes on
All the books!
Whenever I read, I highlight and annotate like a woman possessed. Those notes then get transferred to Craft, where I go through them *again* – pulling out the parts that really stuck with me.
I create *claim notes* – little pages that take a quote, rephrase it in my own words, add my thoughts, connect ideas, and give it a title (the “claim” it’s making).
It’s slow, but it’s how I make sure reading isn’t just just passive. It becomes integration. Connection. An active process. One that makes me think much more deeply.
It’s also the reason I’ve always got a well of ideas waiting when I sit down to write.

## 🤩 What I’m excited for
I’ve been deep in my creative cave working on **[[Find Your Way Home]]** – my free 5-day workshop series running in November.
It’s become this beautiful mix of journalling, reflection, and gentle truth-telling. The kind that helps you slow the fuck down, tune back in, and remember who you are underneath all the noise and “shoulds.”
I wanted to make something that feels like a soft reset. Five days of peeling back the layers and coming home to yourself – one small step at a time.
The workshop runs **17–21 November** (doors open **10 November**) and honestly, I’m loving the process of bringing it to life. Watching it evolve has reminded me why I do this work in the first place - to help women find their own rhythm, not the one the world expects.
If you want to be part of it, you can join the waitlist here – I’ll send the details soon.

## 📺 What I’m watching
**Celebrity Traitors** on BBC.
Not my usual kind of show (I’m not a big documentary or reality fan), but it’s become our family ritual.
Each evening before bed, we sit together and watch – the boys, James, me, Lola (and *all* the blankets!).
We pause constantly to dissect what’s going on – the body language, the bluffing, the chaos. It’s *fascinating*.
I’m hooked. And can’t wait to see what happens in the final.

## 🎓 Lessons I’ve learned
That I *need* to write.
I know, I know – I’ve said this a thousand times. But a chat with my sister really brought it home.
She takes photos and makes reels for no one but herself – it’s how she processes her world.
And for me, that’s writing. Even at the top of a mountain, I’ll stop to jot a few words.
Not because I’m escaping the moment – but because writing *deepens* it.
It’s how I breathe it in. How I understand it. How I remember who I am.
Writing isn’t a distraction from presence. It’s how I *live* it.

## 🛠 Tools I’m loving right now
- **[Craft](https://www.craft.do/):** finally feels like home for my ideas. Their new Collections and Tags have changed everything.
- **[Dia](https://www.diabrowser.com/):** an AI web browser that’s weirdly intuitive and great for creative rabbit holes.
- **[Mindsera](https://www.mindsera.com/):** my AI journaling buddy that helps me reflect without overthinking.

## 🧳 Travel plans
Planning a solo retreat soon – me, a journal, and of course, *Stan* 🚐
I love going away with people, but I’m craving some time alone.
Probably somewhere familiar – somewhere I’ve already been, so I can sink straight into stillness without the overwhelm of “new.”
The whole point is to reset. To journal. To come home to myself again. Pretty much the exact thing I teach in *Find Your Way Home (see above)*.
