# Hamstring Muscle Energy Technique Quite often the traditional hamstring stretching techniques do nothing but aggravate the body even further. T​his Muscle Energy Technique however helps to increases the mobility in your Hamstrings muscles without forcing the body into positions it doesn't want to go. Lie on your back and lift one leg towards your chest. 2. Place a belt around the top of the leg behind the calf. 3. Aiming to keep the leg as straight as possible, press your leg down into the belt (as if you were placing your leg back on the floor). 4. Press at a comfortable resistance (~20% resistance to start). 5. Make sure your leg does not move and that you relax your head and shoulders. 6. Hold for 10-20 seconds. 7.
