Hi guys, so welcome to Find Your Way Home. So this is, I’ve called it a guided journey back to what really matters to you. Without any guilt, without any fluff, without any of the new you bullshit. I’m really excited for this workshop. It does mean a lot to me.
I’ve gone through this process over and over again, and I’ve found it so beneficial that I wanted to share it with you. If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably been moving at full speed for a while. You’re juggling everything, showing up, trying to keep it all going, holding everything together, holding yourself together.
And then at some point along the way, you realise you’ve been going and going and going, and you’ve been walking, maybe even running, towards something, but you’re not entirely sure where you’re heading anymore. Basically that’s what this week is for. It’s when you’re feeling lost. That’s the biggest thing with this week. It’s all about feeling like there’s something not quite right and that you just need a little more clarity on where you’re heading.
So this week isn’t about hustling. It’s not about fixing everything. It’s not about adding more to your plate. It’s about pausing. Taking a breath. Taking a moment to figure out where you are, to figure out where you’re going. I call it realignment because that’s literally what it is. You’re realigning with what matters and what you want in your life. You’re doing this before you take your next step. Quite often we do things without checking in if it’s actually what we want. So that’s what this week is for.
For years, when people said you should feel at home in yourself, I thought that home was a destination. I thought I’d have to achieve something before I felt at home in myself. I thought it was a place I’d get to when I succeeded, whatever that meant at the time. And usually success looked like more money, more status, more doing. Basically just more, more, more.
But I’ve realised that feeling of home isn’t a destination. It isn’t something you finally arrive at when you succeed or achieve something. I’ve learned that home is a feeling. It’s knowing what matters most and living in a way that honours that feeling. When your outer world and what you do start to reflect your inner world and what matters to you.
For me, home is the place I come back to when I stop trying to please everyone else, when I stop performing, when I finally align with what’s right for me. And it feels like this massive exhale, this deep breath. This is who I am. This is where I’m meant to be right now. It’s a gentle, simple ease. Saying yes to the things that matter and fuck no to the things that don’t. Remembering that we can drop back into that feeling, into our body, and trust ourselves again. Finding your way home isn’t some big huge journey. It can literally happen now.
I’m laughing because I’ve realised what’s happened. I recorded this video before and edited it, and I hated it. It felt so fake. It felt like I was performing and reading a script. Listening back, I realised I wasn’t even there. I was trying to be something I’m not. I struggle to look people in the eye. That’s me. I play with my ear. I say erm a lot. I edited that out on a lot of videos, especially this series. And playing it back, I thought, that’s not me. You’re not having a conversation with me. You’re watching a performance.
When I was editing these videos, I realised I wasn’t being true to what I’m actually talking about right now in this workshop. Hence the reason I’ve re-recorded. I haven’t done my hair, though it tends to look like this most mornings anyway. I’ve not got any makeup on. I’ve just shown up. I wanted to talk to you, not record a video. That’s what I’m doing.
And I’ve realised that’s what this is all about. This workshop is all about figuring out what matters most and fucking living that. We say what matters to us, and then we do the fucking opposite because we think we need to keep up with everyone else and do what all the experts say. Fuck no. That’s not what this is about.
I waffle on. Normally I’d edit that out. I’m not. Because we’re having a conversation, right? That’s what we’re doing. We’re having a conversation. I want to talk to you. I want you to tell me your stories. I want you to waffle, because that’s when you find the truth. You can find your way home, that feeling, in an instant. Even through the doubt, the bullshit, the chaos, the expectations. You can find your way home. Sometimes we just have to pause long enough to feel it. That’s what this workshop is about.
So anyway, let’s get back to the actual workshop. The way I see it, this workshop series is about preparing for the journey ahead. It’s not to a place. We’re not trying to achieve anything in the usual success sense. We’re trying to come back home to ourselves. That feeling of this is me, and I’m doing what feels right for me.
Over the next five days we’re going to move slowly through this process. I’ve broken it up into a five-day workshop. You just need to work through these steps bit by bit.
Day one is all about checking your compass. This is where we figure out what matters to you. Day two is about finding your bearings. This is where you figure out if what you say matters is actually reflected in how you’re living. If your inner world matches your outer world and where they don’t. Day three is all about lightening your load. Releasing what’s heavy or not yours to carry. This is so you can move towards what feels right for you. Letting go of perfection, high expectations, all that weight. That’s part of lightening your load.
Day four is about choosing your path. You’ll think about this season of your life and what you want it to look like. Day five is about taking the next right step. This is where we take everything we’ve learned and choose one small, doable action to start with.
Each day you’ll get a short video. I’ll probably waffle and get emotional, but what you’ll get is me having a conversation with you. You’ll also get a worksheet and a few ideas for how to complete it yourself.
You don’t need hours of perfect quiet or conditions. You just need a few minutes each day to watch the video, have a chat in the Facebook group, and complete your worksheet. Spend the day thinking about what I’m asking, what it brings up for you, and that’s what I want you to go through.
For some of you, you’ll know me. Others, you won’t. So before we start, I’ll properly introduce myself.
I’m Sarah. Hi. I’m a women’s therapeutic coach and a lifelong curious human who loves to explore everything. What the fuck does that even mean? I like to experiment, play, test things, figure out what works for me and my brain and nervous system, and share it. Whatever I figure out, I like to share. I learn things and share them with you. That’s who I am in a nutshell.
I’ve spent over 20 years in health and wellness, mostly working with women. Everything from back and pelvic pain to hormones to the beautiful chaos of perimenopause and midlife. I’m trying to change the perception that midlife has to be a shit show. My background is in fitness, biomechanics, and remedial massage. I started working with movement and pain, and over time I realised everything is connected. How we live, what we believe, how we connect — it all shows up physically. That connection between body, mind, hormones, and the meaning we give our lives is the foundation of how I see things. And it’s part of why this workshop was created.
I live in Wrexham, North Wales, which thanks to Rob and Ryan people actually know now. I work from home most days. Alongside my coaching and creating, I’m also an admin manager, so I have a hybrid career — employed and self-employed. Lola, my Rottweiler-Doberman cross, is usually with me. She’s seven, she’s dreaming and pawing at the sofa right now, and I’m not editing it out.
I’m married to James. We met in high school when I was 15. I asked him out on a dare. It’s not what you think. He said yes, and we’ve been together ever since. Our first date was to watch Saving Private Ryan, and I jumped on him and snogged him before getting picked up by our parents. We’ve got two boys, Dexter who’s 15 and Morgan who’s 12. And yes, they’re named after the books and the show. When I was pregnant with Dexter, we were watching Dexter and I said, that’s it, I love that name.
I’m an introvert. Very much an introvert. I’m highly sensitive. So fucking sensitive. I feel everything. I notice the smallest shifts in sound, energy, and emotion.
I’ve recently figured out I’m neurodivergent. Not officially diagnosed, but certain terms and labels explain my whole life and how my brain works. The sensitivity, noise struggles, obsessive note-taking, the way I connect things, the hyperfixations, the special interests. For a long time I thought there was something wrong with me. That I was too much, too sensitive, or not enough. I overthink, I research, I journal, I make far too many notes on everything. But now I see that as one of my greatest strengths. It helps me see connections and ask better questions. I can share what I experience, and it’s amazing how many people like me reach out saying their brain works differently too.
I love that finally being myself means I find people who are my kind of weird. That’s what my work is about — showing up as your true self and letting others see themselves in you. My work isn’t about quick fixes or perfection. It’s about being you, knowing that’s okay, and giving yourself permission to do that.
It’s about slowing down enough to hear yourself again. Figuring out what matters to you without expectation, judgment, pressure, or noise.
So yeah, that’s a bit about me. Probably a bit too much about me, but there we go. Quick heads up, I swear quite a bit. Not aggressively, just honestly. It’s how I talk. So if you’ve got little ones nearby or someone who doesn’t like strong language, maybe pop some headphones in.
So yeah, that’s me. I’m sensitive. Highly sensitive. Sweary. Curious about everything. I’ve spent most of my life helping others, and now I want to help you. To help you reconnect to yourself. To help you find your way home.
I don’t like the term expert. I’m not walking beside you as one. I’m not someone who’s got it all figured out. I’ve no idea what I’m doing most of the time. I just know this bit feels right for me. I’m walking beside you as someone who’s done this work, done the journaling, done the thought process. It keeps helping me find my way home, helping me feel more like myself, and that’s what I want this to do for you.
It’s not about getting everything right. It’s not about racing to be perfect. You’ll never get to the finish line. It’s about learning how to find your way home and feel at home in your own skin.
Over the next five days you’ll walk through each of these prompts and have 24 hours to watch each video. If you want longer, you can grab the All Access Pass, but that’s up to you. By the end of the week, you won’t have a five-year plan. You won’t have a brand-new life or some massive overhaul — and that’s a good thing. You’ll have something better. You’ll have a clearer idea of what matters to you.
You’ll see what you need to let go of. You’ll see what’s been holding you back from being yourself. You’ll have the chance to take the next right step and figure out what that is. This is about pausing before you jump into something else. Before you keep walking a path that doesn’t feel right.
If something feels off, if you’re not being your true self, that’s what this is all about. So that was way longer than the edited version. Sorry, not sorry. But this is what’s going out to you because I’m not editing. I’m showing up as my true self. Doing what I’m trying to teach you in this workshop. I’ll see you tomorrow.
