I have come to realise over the years that learning about anatomy & physiology is not always straight forward. In fact, for anyone not used to scientific words it can be confusing and frustrating. What I have also come to realise that things can be made much easier if we know the origins of words, the etymology. It's not only fascinating where words stem from but also helps make a lot more sense along the way.
